Marvelous K9 was founded on the belief that while there are immense amounts of mutual love between people and their dogs, that love is merely the tip of the relationship iceberg. Often times, communication is lacking, clarity is lost, and the beings involved are left feeling confused and frustrated.

When you sign up for training with Marvelous K9, you’re not hiring someone to train your dog for you — you’re bringing in a coach who is going to evaluate the dynamic in your house, design a custom plan, and help you develop the necessary skills to get on the same page.

Meet Your Trainer

Alyssa is the face and founder of Marvelous K9! Bringing over 10 years of experience in the pet industry with 8 years specializing in pack dynamics and behavior modification, she has spent her time developing a training philosophy built around bridging the gap between families and their canine companions.

Clients appreciate the calm and reassuring energy Alyssa brings to training sessions, noting that they not only feel validated in the challenges they face with their dogs, but also leave feeling like they’ve been given the tools and confidence to live more harmoniously with them moving forward.

Alyssa believes the key to a happy life with our pets is shifting the paradigm from “I’m having a problem with my dog” to “my dog and I are having a problem with our relationship.” Once this dynamic is in place, it becomes much easier for owners to see their dog not as a being who needs to be fixed, but more as a partner who they need to get on the same page with.
